I knew he loved Lily but just didnt realise how much, or for how long.brbrI felt very sorry for him to begin with, but the more I thought about it, the more I came to realise that it was his own fault! He had had years to tell her, instead he let James win the girl. He was also bound to have known that Voldermort would not have been lenient towards Lily, would any woman in her right mind let a homocidal maniac kill her son, in front of her?brbrHe didnt deserve to die the way he did, BUT neither did the Potters.
