Understanding... the first quality of a scientist and of a philosopher should be humility so that he may question and put into doubt everything, even his dearest thoughts and the answers for which he had worked the most.brbrThe only thing you cannot put into doubt is doubt itself as, to do so, youd have to assume its value which would be then lead your conclusion, if asserting the worthlessness of doubt, to be itself worthless as it would sit but on a premise it, by its own affirmation, discredits. In simpler terms, as you cant rely on falsehood to prove truth, if you doubt of doubt and find doubt to be wrong, your conclusion is senseless. Thereby, doubt is absolutely the most certain method to use when youre in a state of ignorance such as ours.
