Question
HARRY POTTER FANS Who did you pity the most in the whole HP story line?
Ok, options are
Answer
v Remus LupinbrIve always had a soft spot for him and something about him, and I hate to say it, is just so pathetic. He went his entire life being downtrodden and looked down upon. And then when he finally did get friends they thought he betrayed them. Then half of them died or went to Azkaban and he went back to being alone and unemployed. His entire life was shaped by an event out of his control. He couldnt have friends, a job, a family, a girlfriend. In reality he couldnt live. I think that is very pitiable. brbrBut then theres his getting a job at Hogwarts, Sirius coming out of Azkaban, falling in love with Tonks. Youd things would start to look up for dear old Remus Lupin. But nope he gets fired from Hogwarts, Sirius is killed essentially meaning all his friends are dead and hes too noble to be with Tonks. Which is another reason I pity Remus the most. Hes likable. Hes a good person. He overcomes all this adversity and essentially remains one of the nicest people in the series. This is why I chose him very slimly over Snape. I know there are a LOT of Snape fans out there. Dont get me wrong, I dont mind Snape, but I have no respect for someone who abuses children, invades their minds, and would be killing people if it werent for denied love. brbrAnyway way OT. Remus gets with Tonks, Tonks gets pregnant and he freaks out. Flaw. A real life flaw. Not a Stephenie Meyer flaw. A flaw that is evident in reality. Thats what I love about JK Rowling. Again, he overcomes this, looks like hes going to have a great life and... bam gets blown up. Fantastic. I think he truly is a pitiable character.brbrBut dont get me wrong there are many others i pity as well. Snape. Neville! That poor kid. No wonder he is the way he is. I think if Neville had grown up with his parents he would be a confident, competent wizard. Something like that cant help but shape your entire being. brbrI always feel sorry for people who cant help their circumstances. In some ways Peter Pettigrew could be considered a pitiable character... but i have no pity for someone who betrays their friends. He brought it on himself. Same goes with Voldemort. I dont particularly pity Draco either. Sure he decided in the final hour that he was going to wimp out and be a goodie. He still tortured innocent people. He was a bully from the age of . Maybe you can argue this was bred into him and it wasnt his fault people can overcome their upbringing. Just look at Harry. I dont know where to end this so Im just going to stop.brbrstop.brbr
